I love that this book is straight to the point and such an easy read. It gets real and I personally think addresses topics that are considered the elephant(s) in the room that a lot of college counselors might not necessarily tell their students. It touches on a lot of topics that are beyond just the application but still integral to the process.The other reviews talk about how much they liked the sample essays which are undoubtedly valuable but my personal favorite is the section talking about how to approach recommendation letters because most people just hope whoever is writing writes them a good one.As a recruiter, I think even people not necessarily thinking about going back to school should read this. I think people could translate a lot of the skills needed to get into a good school into their job search. Ehem *proactivity* ehem.
