This is a beautifully written story. The author's love for her home and for her pets, especially her little rescue dog Sheldon, shine through. I am always a little hesitant to read stories about animals, because so many of them are so sad. This one made me laugh and even when it made me cry a little, it was from a place of love. Everything about this story touched my heart. It was so uplifting and such a balm for a weary world. I would highly recommend this book and it will be by new "go-to" gift for all of my nature and animal loving friends.
